About Holistic Maternal Care

At Holistic Maternal Care, we walk alongside mothers and families with love, knowledge, and presence — from pregnancy through postpartum. Our approach is holistic, human-centered, and judgment-free.

Hello! I’m Natalia Cortés.

I am the founder of HMC, a mother, artist, birth and postpartum doula in Charleston, SC.

I support and empower individuals through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey by offering a safe, personalized space for each family.

My approach blends emotional support, hands-on guidance, and a deep understanding of each mother’s cultural and personal needs. As an artist, I incorporate creative expression as a tool for healing and connecting with emotions during this powerful transformation.

If you're looking for loving, respectful, and compassionate care, I would be honored to walk this path with you.

Who am I?

What We offer

  • Personalized birth and postpartum doula support, tailored to the unique needs of each family.

  • Advocacy and empowerment workshops (ACTT model), designed to equip pregnant women and their families with tools to improve their healthcare experience.

  • Support groups for mothers, offered both in-person and virtually to foster connection and emotional well-being.

  • Community-based art therapy programs, focused on supporting the emotional wellness of mothers in the postpartum period.

  • Bilingual care (Spanish and English), delivered with cultural sensitivity and respect.

  • Social commitment: For every service purchased, we support a low-income family in need.

A Holistic Approach

We believe care is more than physical. That’s why we integrate art, emotional support, education, and deep connection into every service — so you can move through this chapter feeling calm, confident, and empowered.

MISSION

To accompany families with love, hold them with empathy, and empower them with knowledge, ensuring every family feels supported on their journey.

“Motherhood begins with a community that supports and cares for the mother as much as for the baby."
